त्वमेका भवानि Introdution

Right from the earliest time i.e., Vedic period we find poems inspired by love for God. In the beginning the hymns were addressed to various gods and deities who were personifications of natural phenomenon. Later gods and goddesses as the various forms of the pervasive force lying within all being evolved. स्तोत्र literature is our glorious heritage of love and devotion for the divine. In the present स्तोत्र अदि संकरचाया Yanvar has described the feelings of a devotee very vividly. You are my soul and only refuge is the refrain of this evocative poem. Every man some time or the other feels helpless and turns to the divine seeking his grace. Here अदि संकरचाया sichererf is praying the goddess भवानि calling her mother and appearing her mother nature.
